Raducanu reached the third round in three of the four major tournaments in the current campaign.
Emma Raducanu from Great Britain has pulled out of her remaining competitions this season due to a health issue she has been battling over the past 10 days.
The 22-year-old had planned to participate in events in Asia but chose to travel back to recover ahead of launching her preparations for 2026.
Those preparations will involve trainer Francisco Roig, as both individuals have agreed to work together for the upcoming season.
Raducanu required blood pressure checks during her first-round match against Ann Li in the Wuhan tournament and stopped playing when trailing 6-1 4-1 on a very muggy occasion.
Another medical visit was necessary a doctor's assessment at this week's Ningbo Open, where she lost in three sets to local wildcard Zhu Lin in the first round.
Her movement was far from freely in the third set versus Zhu owing to back discomfort that has affected her on several occasions in 2025.
Those results meant an encouraging season, in which Raducanu rose into the international top 30 after more than three years in more than three years, finished with a trio of defeats.
Raducanu had three match points before losing to Jessica Pegula in round three in last month's Beijing event.
The player achieved twenty-eight matches this year and made it to the semi-final round in Washington, but the highlight of her season was at the Miami event in March.
As Britain's top player advanced to the quarters of the WTA 1000 event, beating eighth seed Emma Navarro on the way before losing in a three-set match to Pegula, ranked fourth.
Her coach was trainer Mark Petchey between Miami and Wimbledon, with Francisco Roig stepping in ahead of the US Open.
The initial agreement with Rafael Nadal's former coach was until the end of the season but the collaboration persists, with a training block pencilled in late this year.
Raducanu told that her three-day trial alongside Roig after Wimbledon was like a "black ops mission" as they tried to keep the meeting secret.
She nearly succeeded to overcoming Sabalenka, the world number one at their first tournament together in Cincinnati in August.
Roig joined her in New York, where she made the third stage before being beaten by 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina.
