Acclaimed writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
An official for the firm said: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was made after an review of allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable towards female individuals.
The publisher has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, stating: "We do not comment on internal matters."
Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies internationally in dozens of tongues.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
A number of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.
To date, he has released in excess of 40 works combined, including a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.
He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
