Gaza Territory
The Israeli military announced they have initiated retreat military personnel from specific regions of Gaza after a truce deal negotiated by Israel and Hamas was implemented on the start of Friday.
Defense troops stated they had withdrawn to an specified location within the area - though troops still occupy half of the Strip.
The ceasefire began operation after the Israeli government endorsed the opening segment of President Trump's ceasefire and hostage return deal on the previous day.
According to the deal, the Gaza-based group has until noon in the region on Monday to free all captive Israelis - including 20 who are thought to be living, and up to 28 remains of prisoners.
Under the terms, humanitarian vehicles should also be allowed unrestricted entry into the territory to bring urgently required support to the territory's residents.
Approximately about 600 humanitarian vehicles are anticipated to access Gaza daily from the ceasefire day, though specifics of implementation remain uncertain.
Severe food shortage was declared in part of the territory for the premier occurrence in August by UN-backed experts.
Eyewitnesses in Gaza said troops had pulled back from the north-western outskirts of the primary city towards the east.
In the southern areas, some Israeli troops were also reported to have withdrawn from the Khan Younis area.
Via official communication on online channels, the Israeli military stated its troops "began positioning themselves along the updated deployment lines" from noon in the region.
While forces retreated, numerous Gaza residents were documented travelling - numerous walking - up Gaza's coastal road to the northern region.
Several were travelling on foot for over twelve miles carrying what they could salvage on their shoulders.
Civilian Movement
Throughout the ruined streets, some waved Palestinian flags and showed triumphant gestures.
"The journey is challenging, supplies are scarce," stated a local teacher, who fled the main city with his wife and six children to Khan Younis.
Tel Aviv's head the Prime Minister said in a televised address he was "fulfilling" the pledge to retrieve all the detained individuals.
He continued Israeli troops were still "containing the group from all sides", noting the next stages of the American proposal are that "the faction will surrender weapons and Gaza will be demilitarised".
The conflict was triggered by the Hamas-led attacks on southern Israel on 7 October 2023, in which about 1,200 people were lost their lives and two hundred fifty-one detained.
Ruined Buildings
From that point, over sixty-seven thousand residents have been killed, including over eighteen thousand minors.
Worldwide agencies have charged the Israeli government of performing ethnic cleansing against Gaza residents during the duration of the hostilities.
Israel has strongly denied the report, denouncing it as "untrue and fabricated".
